Oak Lodge Conference & Reception Center
2834 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd #E-1
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

During the 2017 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, the Childcare Association of Louisiana tracked, monitored and advocated a position on more than 25 distinct pieces of legislation. We have scheduled a brief lunch meeting to review the legislation that became law and to review the bills that CCAL defeated this past legislative session.

Come learn more about

House Bill 20 that would have allowed three and four-year olds in unlicensed camps
House Bill 557, the new criminal background check legislation
Senate Bill 172, which would have eliminated the School Readiness Tax Credit
Senate Bill 255 addresses the dissemination of health policies to prospective and current clients
House Bill 584 creates a special fund for funding early childhood education in Louisiana
Senate Bill 25 gives additional funding to School Readiness Tax Credits

CCAL is the ONLY professional membership organization that specifically advocates for the needs of children and the businesses that provide early care and education to nurture their growth and development.
